When I pull the lever on the steering wheel to engage my high beams the blue light displays, but as soon as I let the lever go - the high beams go off. I cannot get the high beams to stay on. How do I fix this?

Sounds like the lever switch in the steering column broke, it's not staying clicked in the on position, and some of them are not easy to change.

Sounds like either the main beam relay is not working, or the switch itself is faulty. As it works the lights until you let go then more likely to be the relay. Some newer cars (in europe) don't have an individual relay, instead have a body computer which needs replacing and costs a lot. Hope you have a simple relay type car!

Is Blue Lite For High Beam Supposed T oStay on when clicked?

To clarify, when you pull the turn signal lever towards you, the high beam lights will come on only as long as you hold the lever up. This is the flash to pass feature.
To switch the headlights from low beam to high beam, you push down on the lever towards the dash. Then the high beam lights and the blue indicator light should stay on.

The high beams will not stay on when the dimmer is actuated. they will light but go off as soon as the lever is released.

When you pull the lever toward you, it is the high beam 'flash' option. To keep the high beams on, push the lever away from you (not up or down).

Xc9 2004 Volvo SUV High Beam switch will not stay engaged.

Solution. Left of the steering wheel. The lighting option must be on in order for the high beam switch to engage!

2002 chevrolet 1500 pickup. while tilting the steering wheel i noticed that the low beam headlights were going on and off. they finally stopped working. i have already replaced 2 relays and the problem is...

Sounds like the plastic tab that your High/low beam lever (on the steering column) switches has slipped out or broken and was displaced by the column movement. The lever assembly will have to be pulled, inspected, and (probably) replaced.

Considering all you have done, that is the only thing left (except a broken or shorted wire that connects to the suspect lever assembly - but unlikely).

Turn Signal Lever 2004 Ford Focus LX

$35 sounds right for the lever. It definitely sounds like it's your lever acting up as the contact seems to be stuck

The headlights are stuck on high beam.

pull on the signal lever toward you (ceter position). the signal lever controls the head lights either high beam or low beam. if you pull on the signal lever toward you again, you will have high beam temporarily. and if you push the signal lever towards the front, you will have the high beam locked.
