Day light driving lights not working on my 03 saturn vue,dash light indicator blinks on and off when i release the hand break

sounds like a bad body control module. it is located in a center of the dash. the body control module runs every thing inside and lights

there is a shift indicator switch at the base of the shifter, constant moving back and forth can cause wires to break, have them check it out

This is a common problem on GM vehicles. This security light indicates a failure in the antitheft system that comes standard on your vehicle. It miscommunicates with itself and then shuts down the vehicle as a protective measure. There is no recal on this. The dealer wont help you. It sounds like you have a loose ground wire. You should get it into a shop before it does some expensive damage.

there is one fuse that controls both the dash lghs and tail lights
look in your owners manual for the correct fuse location

Do you have the owner's manual? It will be listed under fuses in that. Each fuse will have a break down of what it operates.

The procedure you used is for the 2006 > Vue, and will not work on your 2003. For the 2002-2005 Saturn Vue V4 or V6 - Under the hood you will see a black fuse box behind the battery. Open it up and you will see a red button, it is small and looks like a fuse but on the top it will say Oil-Res. Turn on the ignition & press and hold that button for about 10 seconds. You may want to have a friend sit in the driver's seat and watch for the indicator to start flashing, which indicates you've activated the reset. Turn off the ignition and that will reset the Oil light.

the body control module is most likely bad,take it to the dealer,but first make sure all the bulbs are good,does the drl indicator in the dash blink then go out?if so u got a bad headlight bulb

Check for loose wiring or connection harness. You proabably replaced bulbs with same type. Is there continuity at the socket?

I had the same problem some time ago, lights would go on and off, odometer appeared to stop counting at times rpm gauge would work and then not... power steering would off and on work and head lights would blink on and off when in driving light mode (off position).. The fix for me was I had to have the dash computer replaced (about $500). After doing this around 50k miles ago all the gremlins seem to have remained gone.. Hope this helps
