You need to reset the computer try disconnecting the battery and wire both wires together so it drains all the power out of the system about 45 min. Reconnect the battery and try restarting

Anti Theft System - inmobilizer is actovated. Need disarm to start engine. Have you another key and fob? Try lock/unlock cycle with new key + fob. Your key may be corrupted.

Try also just unlocking the car with the key (not the fob) as soon as you unlock the door put the key in the ignition immediately and see if the car starts.

If you have your radio code it may be worth trying a total reset (leave the car unlocked) disconnect the battery and leave for 20 mins. then reconnect.

    Turn you key on do not start and then disconnect the battery that will turn off the security light off and then reconnect the battery and then you can start the truck up

For some odd reason Chevy sometimes has there stereos connected to the security system. Check the fuse to make sure it didn't blow. You probably have vats security which is the worst thing ever made. I had that on my 02 firebird and had nothing but vats issues constantly.

Why wont my car start even after i tried the security reset. i turned key to on position for 10 minutes turned it off then tried to start it 3 times. security light still flashes
turn the key on and wait till the security light stops flashing ( this could take as long as 30 minuets ) then turn the key off then back on but do not try to start the engine and wait till the security light stops flashing ( again this could take as long as 30 minuets ) then turn key off then turn key on and start engine.
