Pretty sure it would have an IAT sensor, else your scanner would not have been able to show that. Double check for it-it may be mounted right close to the throttle position sensor,. or the idle air control, somewhere in the intake manifold. Your symptoms of running rich are the classic case of a bad IAT, or a bad Coolant Temp. Sensor. But the scanner said iat, so I would believe that. Do you know for a fact it has no intake air temp. sensor?
Not 100% sure of exact location but IAT stands for "incoming air temperature", so I'd start at air inlet to throttlebody, and look close at intake manifold areas, as well. Should be a small probe into opening.
