1997 jimmy turn signals and windshield wipers quit working

Okay, we will need to pin point the short, first remove connector from wiper motor and install a fuse and see if it blows. if it does then we know its not the wiper motor.next, will fuse blow when key is turned on or do you have to turn on signals? if its when signals are working then check all bulbs, remove signal bulbs one at a time and make sure the correct bulb is in the socket and the bulb and socket are good, if all checks out then i would say you may have a bad switch, let me know what the outcome of these tests are i will help you fix problem or give you price. good day

Windshield wipers work intermittentaly

You may have a loose connection or more than likely a worn switch. This is probably a unitzed switch for the wipers and turn signals

1998 g.m.c. jimmy-turn signal flasher

I had same problem. You need to change the combo signal switch. I did find a sneeky way to do it without taking off steering wheel & air bag. There are two torx screws holing it on. The one in the front of switch is easy to get to. The other one toward the left under steering wheel is the pain. Get the proper torx bit, the bit should be about 1 in long. Put just the bit in the screw and use a quarter inch wrench to loosen it. This should save you about 1 hr & alot of work. Dont forget to remove battery cables first when working around the air bag (yellow wire)

2000 GMC Jimmy, Flasher clicks alot even after repalcing flasher

Auto headlights do go off when turn signal is put on. The wiper problem could very well be in the blinker switch in the column, they are know to go out on these trucks. Run some tests before replacing.

Turn Signals and High Beams are not working and I have checked the fuse what else could it be? Everything else is working

Sounds like the combination switch is bad. The comination switch is for the turn signals and high beams and sometimes cruise control and windshield wipers. The combination switch is the turn signal lever. Also might want to check turn signal flasher operation.
