I have a 98 Lexus LS. My air cond. works but not much air pressure. In other words, the air is cool but air pressure is not very strong. I'm not sure where to take to get fixed. My husband said he could maybe fix if we had part. I do not have a manual. I also have a brake and tail lamp failure lights flashing and both are fixed.

Check the air directing servo motors under the glove box. they are 2 black boxes about 3"x3". you have to clean the contacts of grease with contact cleaner spray or alcohol.

Do yourself a favor. With an assistant sitting in the front seat, have them put the ignition key in the ON position. You go and stand in back of the car. Tell the assistant to put on the headlights, 4-way flashers, and put the car in reverse ( remember engine is OFF ) so you can see the REVERSE lights. Now look at BOTH left and right tailghts assy and not any differences in light out, as a inop bulb.. Jeep Grand Cherokees had numerous problem with the tailight lens housings and sockets

whether the tell light is on the back side door or beside the door on the main body>?

check power to your rear tailight bulbs positive to see if they even get power with the headlight switch on. if your headlights come on then it's probably not a switch issue. Just check and make sure that you have power and ground to your tailights. It sounds most likely like an electrical problem. The best way to find the problem is to get an electrical wiring diagram and go through the system. But definately first check power and ground at the tailight bulbs to start.

Replacing a bulb on a Lexus is rather easy but a little involve. You can actually locate the wiring harness by removing the trim panels within your trunk. There are typically two cargo hooks that screw out found on either side of the trunk opening.
Also, there are Christmas tree push pins found on the trim panels located on the the trunk sides and the upper part of the trunk.
Furthermore, there is a plastic trim panel along the inside front of the trunk that may need to be removed. Bottom line, remove as much as you need to in order to gain access to the tail light wiring harness.
All that is next is to find the appropriate light socket that holds the light that needs to be replaced. Carefully twist the light socket to the left and pull the light out of taillight. Then pull the light out of the socket and place the light back into the appropriate hole and twist to the right about a 1/2 to lock the socket in place.
Then, replace the trim panels, push pins and screws.
In most cases, you will only need to pull the trim panels back far enough to reach you hand in to replace the light.
