I was driving 65mph when my car lost power. It would not restart. I have replaced the fuel pump filter and relay and it still won't start. Could it be the timing belt? Please help me figure this out. 1997...

See if the ignition still works by checking for spark on a spark plug wire. If no spark could be the ignition module or the crank position sensor.
I doubt if anything wrong with the timing belt-you would have heard a loud pop if it broke. Look inside the oil filler place on top- of the valve cover. When the engine is cranked, if belt is good you will see movement of the camshafts and the valves moving up and down.

How do i change the water pump on a 97 chrysler sebring V6

Depending on the engine type this is a big job, the waterpump is driven by the timing belt and you must use caution as to engine damage may ocurr, if the timing gears are not 100% aligned when installing the timing belt heres a diagram to show you what im talking about,johnjohn2_39.jpgjohnjohn2_38.gifjohnjohn2_39.gif

Timing chain or belt?

The 2002-2006 Camry received the next generation 2.4L 4-cylinder engine (model 2AZ-FE), which combines decent power with excellent fuel economy. This engine does not have a timing belt, it has a chain that does not need to be replaced.
The second choice is very smooth and powerful 3.0-liter 24-valve all-aluminum V6 engine.
Starting from 2004, the 3.3-liter V6 DOHC VVT-i engine is available on SE V6 model.
Both, the 3.0L and 3.3L V6 engines have a timing belt that must be replaced at certain interval

Timing belt on Accord 2004 v6 models

2003 and up Honda Accord with 4 cylinder engines do indeed have a chain and the V6 has a belt which must be replaced at 110,000 miles. Why? Ask Honda, they designed the engines.

Timing belt

The 2.7L engine uses a timing chain, which has no mileage recommendation on changing it. It is designed to last the life of the engine.

The timing belt on my 2003 Chrysler Sebring LX (93,000 miles) blew out yesterday. The shop I took it to is quoting the price to fix it between $1,200 - $1,800, depending on if any of the valves were also...

Ok here is the best way to handle this, replace the timing belt and the water pump if it is driven by the timing belt, also check that that all the idler puley's are ok and the tensioner pulley, start the engine, if it just spins free you have damaged the valves, then it gets kind of expensive since the cylinder head(s) ,must be taken off, do one thing at a time. What engine do you have, that does make quite a difference.

2003 Honda Civic -LX Timing belt

90000 Miles on the Timing Belt. Do not let this go! A timing belt failure can cause internal engine problems.

Should cost around 200 or so, depending upon your local labor rates.

Good Luck!
