My car hesitates on acceleration from a stop. Engine light comes on intermittently and turns off when I take a left turn. 1994 Chevy Caprice Classic 4.3 L V8. Trouble codes will not display when I use a code scanner. PCM has been replaced but codes didn't display with old PCM either.

Sounds like a bad wire connection. Check the connectors for cleanliness and that they are tight and free of corrosion.

Turn off the ignition of car.
Let the engine and radiator cool.
Refill the coolant to the required quantity with the approved type.
Wait until the coolant helps reduce the heat completely.
You should not see the light now.

Sounds like you might have a issue with your torque converter do you lose power when accelerating

You might have a vaccum leak of some kind. There are many things that could cause this. It could be the fuel injectors. You may have one bad one. Are you getting any codes? Check engine light on?

My oil light came on my chevy caprice and a few days after i changed it and the car stop running i followed the manual and it said to pump the acell 3 times to restart the system but no good

Did you have the key turn to the on postion? press the gas pedal 3 times and this should reset the oil light, do you have any other problems with the battery or anything.

you may have water trapped in wiring harness in engine area iwould use air to blow out the water and see what comes out. hope this helps thunderboltz. p.s also check grounds

Start up

U have 2 seperate problems, the gas gauge issue is caused by a defective sending unit in the gas tank, the cutting out will require u take the car in and have the electronic engine control system tested for trouble codes. Does this car have the 5.7 L engine?
