I own a 1996 chevy geo tracker, the problem i have is that, when i put on drive, it only goes up to 10 to 15 max speed. i'm assuming it's the transmission problem

I got this free Pdf manual from reliable-store for free and I don't think Ive visited a mechanic or fixya for help for more than 3-4 times out of the 20 times I fixed the chipper in these 4 yearsmust try this bitman and reliable-store. Both are good

the control is cable drive, why remove that? then each cable end must be removed, and is tedious. (clamps, and other issues)
or do you mean the control switch? set.?

yes, i have the FULL FSM.
actuator , you mean the front axle pump?
there is non, err, not directly
the PCM drives the pump direct, Page 9-a19(FSM)
pinsc51-2 pin 15, drives and pin 18 the PCM senses if it did.?
the pump is grounded, the PCM drives it on
the PCM has many rules for , not activating 4wd.
speed, load.,.RPM, etc.
and the switch is not on. C51-2,pin 11 is pcm 4wd switch input
and goes to 12v, for 4wd demand, then the PCM glow the lamp
and maybe turns on the pump.
post symptoms for better help.
maybe ur cadlatic coverter is going out u can take it to a muffler shop and some wont charge u to look at it . some times u can to if ur center floor board gets really hot
You may try putting the trans in 2 or 1, if this doesn't give you any movement check trans fluid levels hot on a level surface. If levels are correct your trans is probably bad.
Buy a Chiltons manual that covers theGeo Tracker,Suzuki Sumari - It will Have all the wiring diagrams in the back of the book - I know because I have one.
