This problem started about two weeks ago. when i started the car and left the house it was running but the rpms would drop and the car would shut off but start back up immediately while going tdown the road like i was turning the key back and forth. It did this for about 5-10 min. then ran fine to my destination and back home. The next day it did the same thing only it eventually shut off completely and would not start for about 5-10 min and then it did and ran perfectly normal. On the way home later that day, it was running fine then just quit and hasn't startedsince?

This is a good indication of a bad ignition control module. The module is located under the coil pack (where all of your spark plug wires come from) and may be testable. Auto Zone says they can't accurately test this part but it is $100 to replace it.

My 2004 Mazda tribute has started shuddering in all gears, not contuously but seems when it drops below the 2 on rpms. Had just had it serviced and oil changed 2 weeks ago

Did you have the motor oil changed or the transmission oil? Your check engine light should be on and you should have it scanned by a professional. Did it start to shudder immediately after the service? Its very hard to tell without seeing the car to diagnose myself.

Ac compressor cuts out when stopping. will not kick back in untill you start going and get the engine rpms around 2500 -3000 under a load. when you get up to speed and drop the rpms cuts back out. stop and...

I wouldn't run it till the freon level was checked; if it's low, you could damage the compressor.

its your brake booster,thats the part that the master cylinder bolts to. it will cause your peddle to drop and cause stalling

Having problems with a 98 Dodge Advenger, It starts and runs, but when you go to stop at light it will cut off. The idle will drop below 1000 rpms and then shut off. As long as you are moving it is fine....

I have a 2000 jetta vr6 and has been sitting for some time but has been started and run on occasion. it started and ran fine a week ago but now i started it today and the rpms went up to about 2000 then...

Worth a try as it eliminates the altitude sensor which is integrated in the air mass meter! This being faulty would cause those symptoms!

92 dodge stealth rt tt, car drives fine for maybe a week , maybe a day maybe 5 mins , rpms drop to zero car shuts off right away , like turning the key, wont re start sometimes for hour , maybe 2 then...

there is a none problem at fuel pump housing we just had 92 with same problem it finally started blowing engine fuse but were the wiring goes thro the top of the fuel pump hanger assembly there are insulators and they come apart allowing the fuel pump current to dead short at hanger asembly you may want to investigate closer hope this helps we had his ecm sent out for rebuild also sounds the same
