Check for 2 steel cooling lines going to the radiator for leaks at the transmission....but more than likely the oil is coming from the valve covers...if you fix it use the rubber gaskets. if it doesn't leak much just hose the tranny once in a while for it is a rough and it is expensive undertaking at a garage.....it pro is not the rear main seal-which is also not a picnic....keep a check on you eng oil level.....luck to you

1999 GMC Sierra V6 reverse lights not working. Both light not coming on. Tested bulbs, they work tested fuse it is good. What could be the problem?

Likely the reverse switch. This is either on the shifter assembly but more likely it is screwed into the transmission. An easy swap after correctly identifying the switch. You may lose some transmission oil so put a pan down.

Underneath driver side floor mat is damp. I don't

if it is slippery and stinky, your heater core is leaking. otherwise you have a leak around your windshield and rainwater is coming in and not drying out as it is under the mat. very hard to track down, get some clear aquarium sealer and get to work.

2000 gmc sierra 1500 V-8, 4.8liter automatic. oil severely leaking from back of block in between block and flywheel. oil gushes out during acceleration

Between the rear of the block and the transmission is just a couple of things that may be leaking, but make sure thats where it's coming from, and not running from somewhere else...
Your crankshaft rear min seal, they get hardened after yearsm and some can cut a small groove in the end of the crank and leak. They make a "speedi-sleeve" to repair that. The other idea is the camshaft plug, which is like a freeze out plug, but these are not as common.

How to replace the front diferential seal where the drivers side drive axle go in on a 2000 sierra 1500 Z71 4WD?

THis would be way too much to walk you thru. If you like to do your own maintenance-buy a chilton manual online or at your local auto parts. It will save you time and $
