It is located midway along the frame of your truck.
Remove the fuel filter from the bracket on the frame rail.
Replace the fuel pipe O-rings if you find any cuts, nicks or distortion
in them. Slide the new filter into the bracket. Remove the caps you put
on the fuel pipes and connect the threaded fittings back to the filter.
Tighten it to 18 ft-lbs.
Had same problem with a Yukon. Turned out to be a bad fuel pump (Won't show codes.) When cold ran fine, heated up, no pressure. Would start after sitting for about 1/2 hour. When engine dies on you check for fuel pressure under the hood.
Particulate filters are self cleaning. If the warning light comes on, you will need to take a long drive every so often to get the filter hot (It is a built-in part of the exhaust system.) Some models will also dump extra fuel int the system to help ignite the soot buildup and assist to "clean' the filter.
You need do nothing else; just get it really hot for a while each time the warning comes up. If you ignore it and do only short trips, it will clog up and need replacement.
