How many miles are on the truck usually around 100000 miles you will need to replace the O2 sensors not hard to do the engine wont stop but fuel mileage will begin to drop and power will start to go down. You may not notice the power drop to much are the fuel mileage drop. To find out if it is indeed the O2 sensors take it to auto zone they will put a tester on it and tell you what it needs. Good luck o and they wont charge you anything for the test.

Take throttle body off, clean Throttle Body with Carburator cleaner. I had same problem and its the ethynol in fuel that creates a build up in the throttle body which creates this problem. I did what a friend of mine said to do (service manager at Dodge Dealership) it hasnt happened again.

hmmm, I had same problem, but engine light flashed a code.....turn key on and off without starting, leave in the on position on third time, you will see codes come up if you have any where the milage is displayed. Mine turned out to be the EGR valve was stuck. Had it replaced at dealer, was lucky...under warranty.

The o2 sensors are located on the exhaust system. The upstream in on the rear exhaust manifold and the down stream is in front of the catalytic converter.Usually when they are bad they will make the check engine like go on.Make sure the air filter is clean, tires at correct inflation, alignment is to specs. If the vehicles pulls to one side or the other or steering wheel is not straight when driving down a straight stretch of road. Also tires are wearing normal.Use cruise control where ever on highway. If you let your vehicle warm up in winter. This also uses gas.Hope this helps.Good luck.
