Before you attempt that job make sure you go in and take a look at the UTUBE HOW TO REPLACE THAT ON YOUR PT CRUSIOR might be a little more to it then you think..however your answer is no...once you get the belt tensioner on...just done my timing belt..good luck

This is a difficult repair. If you have never replaced a timing belt before this will be quite challanging.
You will need several tools, and a few special ones.
You will need to know what to look for in case you have damaged your engine.
Please let me know, and if you still want to try and tackle it yourself, I will give you the info.
im guessing a pulley press, or is it the tensoner pulley, usually a rachet head will fit in there, or even a pry bar, if one of the pulleys r bad, what ever you do to get it off, then use a block of wood an a hammer to put new one on,
timing belt, and drive belt. the timing belt needs special tools to replace, if its a 2.0 DOHC VIN "P" 8th digit. if its a VIN "3" SOHC no special tools are needed
You might be ablr to find a relplacement part but if you go to the dealer for it I doubt they will sell it to you. And yes, special tools are required!
most of the time basis had tools.... 15 to 18 mm nut on tensioner pulley?or maybe just a ratchet? most cars are easy if unsure any farther your local quick lube maybe able to help When I managed one we helped people all the time it was good for repeat bis....
Have you installed a new timing belt? If yes then you must do a compression test on each cylinder to verify no piston/valve damage. Your motor is not a freewheeling one. Damage is most likely to occur if your belt has failed.
Yes, it is a interference engine. If you used the wrong procedure to align components before installing the timing belt, sometimes you can redo the correct procedure and fixed it. Good luck.
