The grade of oil is normally SAE 10w 30.
In colder climates use 5W 30 as recommended in the owners manual.
Do Not use 20w 50 oils in the Northstar engine!.
Look in owners manual,look on fill cap, call the dealer.

I can vouch for my 1997 Cadillac Deville Limousine. I bought it for $2800 off of ebay indirectly, and then I put a new water pump and headlamp assemblies into it. The a/c didn't need a charge but I put this Arctic Freeze r134a formula into it to make it cool faster. The tires were good and it didn't need front end work (but I have heavy duty suspension and brakes). I had new brake pads put on the front.
Overall, it's a good runner and passed PA State inspection with some bodywork.
The 6 speaker stereo works nice. The seller put a new battery in it for me off of Long Island, NY.
Mine had 109k mi. on it when I bought it.
Your 1995 with 51k miles I think is low miles for that year.
So, you should be alright except some affordable repairs that might spring up.
