VW SHARAN 02. i need to remove the headlights so i can straighten the cap covering the bulb and also the light tilter is not working ( the switch does not seem to tilt the beams when i turn the dial, this used to work on my old car. Please could you tell me how i can go about removing the complete headlights and checking them also. Thank You

Have a search on YouTube. There may be one there or on another VW with the same engine as you have.

There are numerous VW forums which cover the Sharan so join one of these, pose the question and someone should be able to run you through the steps on an oil and oil filter change for that engine.

(I am not familiar with that particular engine so I won't comment further).

i have a ford galaxy which is a VW sharan with a ford badge and mine will come off for repair by removing a cover and under the cover is a torx headed bolt

Have the brake light switch checked. this switch is located at the top of brake pedal on the bracket, this switch is what controls the brake lights, if you look under the dash and follow the brake pedal up you will see the switch, a quick test is to remove the connector from the switch and jump the two connections on the connector not the switch and see if the lights work you may see a little spark thats okay, if lights come on with connector jumped then the switch is bad, heres a picture of the switch to help you locate it, hope this is helpful,

Lift the hood and if equipped remove plastic engine cover. On each headlight you will see plastic retaining latches. releasing these latches will allow the whole headlight assembly to slide out. Its a canister type assembly. You can then access teh bulbs to replace the lights. it reassembles teh same way

your glow plug relay is going out you need to replace it.

remove the plastic cover directly behind where the lights are under the bonnet. then pull out the correct bulb (be careful not to damage any wires in the process). if your unsure exactly what bulb you need just take it down to a parts store and they can get the correct bulb from the make and model.

i dont think it will hurt it, you might just be dealing with a loose wire
