Hi, I have an imported 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX. How do I reprogram the key fob after changing the battery.

You should not have to reprogram it, the key fob has a non volitile memory chip.

Most parts stores, I.e. Advance or Auto Zone, can reprogram it for you for free.

I am trying to find out how to reprogram my keyfob for the central lock on my Subaru Impreza WRX 2007

You need to take the car to your Subaru dealer to reset your key fob. You are at risk of triggering the anti-theft function and disabling the engine or locking yourself out of the car. The WRX can get expensive quick when messing around with the wiring.

What does the diagnostic code P2181 mean on a Subaru Impreza WRX?

this is a coolant performance code. Usuallly sets this code if the connector was left unhooked to the coolant sensor or the thremostat is stuck open. By any chance do you have a gauge that seems to be on the cold side ??

2008 Subaru Impreza RS Central Locking

The red light on the dash has several blinking patterns, just depending on what you set if for. But no matter what setting (valet mode or armed mode) the key fob should still work for the doors. If the unlock is not working, but the lock is working your problem is in the remote. If you open it up you will find that the rubber peice that makes contact with the board is broken. The remotes will need to be replaced, which is covered under the factory wrty. If the lock and unlock does not work at all then there is a programming issue, the dealer can reprogram the remotes for you. The reprogramming has to be done by the dealer. they have to hook up a lap top and program the remotes. The older models could be done easily.
