Getting stuck in valet mode is so annoying, but it really IS possible to reset the Security Unit (SU). Though not mentioned how in the Owner's Manual (OM), it is possible to set Programming Mode (PM) while in valet mode, even if you have lost or replaced the remote. See the OM about switching from LOCK-ON-LOCK 10 times. It takes some practice, but the horn will beep when you are in PM, at which point you can reset your (old or new) remote. "Now my parking lights on both sides will not shut off" Yep, that's the low power parking lights. You've bumped the switch on the top of the steering column. <grin> Just turn it off !

The heater core is probably clogged, or the valve that lets radiator fluid flow through the core is not working.

Are you absolutely positive you are installing the correct amp fuse ? I think headlights on Subaru's run thru a relay, which could be bad. Here's a how-to that may help. Headlights Not Working Try These Fixes

cable operation --replace the broken cable hydraulic operation --replace the clutch master cylinder ( blocked compensating port not allowing the fluid to return to the reservoir )

get the OBD codes read , sounds air or fuel related ,as you've had work done there may be a sensor left unplugged , the OBD will point to the sensor/switch at issue

Check Engine Light turns on? You surely know, we have had those for 35 years on all vehicles, & if any dash light stays on after the motor is running, you have a vehicle problem that has to be diagnosed Have to check for OBD Codes--not keep using it Then component test the system that set the fault code, to find a problem For most people that would be at a repair shop

Trace the fuse in the car. It has gone bad. You only need to replace it.

75W90 gear oil. I've read different opinions about synthetics. I personally was having problems using synthetic in my 2002 wrx, so I switched it to a non synthetic, and the problem went away. I've read that they use Valvoline synpower in the subaru rally cars, but I personally have not tried it.

Check compression...on all cylinders

Most standard transmissions use gear oil. Check your Owner's Manual.

Look on www.chiltondiy.com or just google chilton repair manuals and I'm sure you can find the diagram. You may have to pay to see it, but it'll be there. If you have the 2.5L motor, I hope you didn't try to start the car after the belt broke. This can bend the valve guides and pretty much ruin the motor. 2.2L, no worries.

first unlock car manually with key remove driver side kick panel/lower A pillar trim connect locking registration wires together(two white connectors,black wire and black and blue wire)press and hold central locking switch on drivers door in the unlock position .interior lamp will flash and an acoustic sound will be heard. now get your key and press unlock and then lock the door should lock then unlock, job done ,i persume it was to program the fob to work the central locking u wanted

usually an indication that your battery is running low, try doing some motorway miles for a couple of hours, if it doesn't work get back to me
