Maybe not, most likely a coil pack,or plugs,Do a tune up,and as you are doing it,check the spark plug firing on all the spark plugs,if one is not firing, replace that coil pack.I would go ahead and do a tune up,plugs, wires, and air filter, and the fuel filter, this will most likely fix the problem.
Fuel pump maybe yes
but check for overheating - could be preignition?
- just general weak mixture symptoms, could be dirty fuel system (pipes,filters,injectors/jets) clogged pick up pipe in fuel tank.
Worn sparkplugs even,
Worn distributor / rotor (if applicable)
Contaminated fuel?
HT-leads?
Ignition coil?
ignition Timing badly out?
if you go through all that I reckon it will be running good again.
It can be going weak on you. The pressure of the pump will have to be checked to see
