I show immobilizers where only started in the 1998 accords, if you have a remote starter and they used a key in the box bypass all you need to do is find the box under the dash open it up and use the key

2006 honda accord inertia switch location

All sorts of answers here, bad battery / immobiliser / keys need programming / caused by towing.
https://mechanics.stackexchange.com/questions/5847/2006-honda-civic-ex-green-key-light-on-dash

This;
The flashing green key is your immobilizer indicator. My recommendation (I am a certified honda tech) is take it to your local acura dealer and have them do a hard reset of the immobilizer and reprogram your keys.

It could also be a bad immobilizer itself. If it is a bad immobilizer, the tech will be able to tell through the diagnostic system used to program keys.

Honda civic sd51 kzm car wont start immobilizer has been activated.do i need to take car and keys to a honda dealer or just the keys

I believe you are going to need to have the keys and the car with you, I dont believe that you can disable the immobilizer with just having your keys reprogramed

I had a new key cut for my 2004 accord and replaced the keyless entry pad. The car will not start...does the pad need reprogramed to start the car

If you car has the immobilizer system, the following might help.

The Immobilizer System protects your car from theft. A properly coded ignition key must be used in the ignition switch for the engine to start. If an improperly-coded key (or other device) is used, the engine’s fuel system is disabled.
When you turn the ignition switch to ON (II), the Immobilizer System indicator should come on for a few seconds, then go out. If the indicator starts to blink, it means the system does not recognize the coding of the key.
Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), remove the key, reinsert it, and turn the switch to ON (II) again.

Hope this is helpful to you.

The key symbol appears

That's your immobilizer system light:
The Immobilizer System protects your car from theft. A properly coded master or valet key must be used in the ignition switch for the engine to start.
If an improperly coded key (or other device) is used, the engine’s fuel system is disabled.
The system may not recognize your key’s coding if another immobilizer key or other metal object is near the ignition switch when you insert the key. To make sure the system recognizes the key code:
Do not keep other immobilizer keys on the same key ring.
Use a plastic or leather key fob, not metal.
Keep other keys away from your vehicle’s key and the ignition switch while trying to start the engine.
Do not attempt to alter this system or add other devices to it. Electrical problems could result that may make your car undriveable.
This indicator will also blink several times when you turn the ignition switch from ON (II) to ACCESSORY (I) or LOCK (0).
If the system repeatedly does not recognize the coding of your key, contact your Honda dealer.
If you have lost your key and you cannot start the engine, contact your Honda dealer.
Hope this lets you understand the light, and what should be happening.

When I turn the key, the starter on my 2000 Honda accord turns over, but won't start. what is the problem? should I check the fuel filter, are the fuel injectors clogged up, do I need a new starter,...

Try a 2nd key. Immobilizer can be at fault.

If you have an alarm.....then try to locate the by-pass switch or the steps to stop the ign, cut off,

It can be as simple as a relay.

or a bad immobilizer sensor.
