My screen states that maintenance of tire is required. I just purchased the automobile in 2009 September and they said that these were new tires. Should I have a warranty for these tires? What does the above statement mean?

I'd guess you have about 7,000 miles and it's time to rotate the tires for even wear.

Reset tire monitor

The tires must be inflated to what is stated on the driver's door jamb sticker. If your tires are larger than what came factory and require a different pressure than what the door jamb states, the RCDLR must be reprogrammed for such.

2008 Chevrolet Colorado - engine light comes on and display says SERVICE TPM ??? Anybody have an idea?

This is refering to the tire pressure monitoring system. Either a sensor is damaged or not being received, or you need to check for proper inflation in all of your 4 tires. It is a saftey feature that was required in all cars sold in california at least...not sure about other states...since 2009.

Rims. well i was wondering if i will need a tire balance and tire rotation for a new set of rims

If you have 3o-35,000 miles on your car, you may be due for new tires. Tires will ware out, you may have hit a few pot holes,or had a few flats. Manufacturers usually warrenty tires for new cars for about the same mileage I stated above. If your tires are waring well possibly you only need a wheel balancing. Take your car to a tire dealer in your area , and have them check for you. GOOD LUCK.

How do i reset low tire indicator on rav 4 2010, i just changed tire

The TPMS lamp should go out when the proper air pressure in all tires is detected. Too much pressure will cause it to light also. The low threshold is somewhere in the 24-27lb range, dunno what the upper limit is, but one member at R4W had 44lbs, IIRC, and the lamp wouldn't go out until he dropped it back down. Some members run 38lbs and get away with it, but I run the recommended 32lbs and don't have any problems. Out of spec tire pressure does not cause the maintenance required lamp or the MIL to light up, see page 161 of the owner's manual. The maintenance required lamp will light up every 5000 miles as a reminder to change the engine oil, see page 136 of the manual for reset instructions.

What the tire maintenance mean

It is saying to change the tires. To check the tread depth, stick a penny head first into the tread. The distance to the top of Abe's head is the amount of tread you need before replacing your tires.

Message Warning - Tire Pressure System Maintenance Required - Does this mean a sensor is out as I have checked tire pressure to ensure 34 lbs. pressure in each?

If you've had the tires rotated or installed new tires recently they may have installed the wrong wheel in the wrong location. This can cause false readings from the tire pressure sensor readings. Make sure the wheels are in the proper position on the vehicle.

How to turn off the maintenance tire light

Check the tire pressures and add air if needed. In cold weather the air in the tires can contract and cause this light to come on. If adding air to the correct pressure does not fix the issue. Its probably a bad TPMS module in one of the wheels. Have you changed tires recently?

Maintenence required light and tire pressure lights will not go off after oil change and tire rotation on my Toyota Highlander. How do I turn them off?

The maintenance light needs to be reset manually. See my Tips and Tricks on this website for additional information on how to reset it.

You should also check your spare tire for proper inflation. It will set the tire pressure light, as the spare is monitored also. If all 5 tires are OK, you may have a malfunctioning tire pressure sensor. If the tires have been changed recently, people with older tire machines have been known to break the sensors regularly, by mistake.
