    What all do I have to remove to get to the starter? I do believe that its under or near the intake manifold. I LITERALLY need STEP BY STEP instructions! Please & Thank You!!!

The starter on the 4.0L engines is located underneath the intake manifold. Therefore, both the upper and lower intake plenums need to be removed to access the starter.
You must also replace the intake gaskets once they are removed and retorqued to Lexus specifications.

Disconnect the battery.
Disconnect the wires from the starter.
Unbolt & remove the starter.
Bolt the new starter into place.
Connect the wires to the starter.
Connect the battery cables.

Not too bad. Not much room, just enough to drop the starter. It is probably easier to go up through exhaust if you can get your exhaust shield off the manifold .
