I have a car just like yours. My car use to do the same thing. When I checked for a code, it showed nothing. I would be driving down the road, sometimes 50-60, and it would just cut off. I bought a MAP sensor and that fixed my problem. Hope that helps.
Sebring Convertibles have weep holes under the body that get clogged with debris and cause the water to back up into the floor. Take a paper clip and straighten it to clean out the weep holes. The weep holes can be found just under the frame at the doors where there is a seam(about where the jack would go). Along this seam about ervery 12 or 16 inches there will be a small slot for the water to drain.
You can still drive it with the engine light on. It may not run too well or you may not notice any difference at all. If the light flashes on and off while driving then you shouldn't drive it because damage to the catalytic converter may be a result. I hope this helps.

take off the two "star" bolts, one toward the center of the engine above the light assembly and the other toward the fender (it is very long). when you remove them both the entier assembly falls off into your hands and makes changing the bulbs much easier.
