My 2003 ford explorer ticks when its running idle, w/ heat off when it gets close to 2-3000 roms tge ticking gets louder. what could it be?

A ticking noise at idle I am going say your valves. There is someting going on with the lifter,The nuts that secure one of the rocker arm maybe loosen out, also make sure the sparkplugs are secured and are tightened up.

I have a 2003 ford explorer, when the heat is on full power it clunks, my mechanic said its the fan in the unit. How much will it cost to replace?

Ask your mechanic, he knows what the clunk is, we dont. Fans dont "clunk" they whine, roar, rythmic clicking, or make vibrations, or dont work. Doors will clunk...usually.

2003 ford explore no front heat

common problem , blend door actuator motor , plastic teeth and they strip a tooth , very common and the giveaway is the clicking sound , replace it or have it replaced . call parts store or ford and get price , they may want the number on the original one . happy motoring .
