Hello there :
What you are going to have to do is either check out the heater core by a shop or you can do it your self.
Check to see if all of the wires are connected to the heater motor and see if the heater motor is working if not replace it if it is working than i would then look into having the heater core replaced OK?

Heated driver seat doesn't heat on 2001 Buick Regal GS

You have probably burnt up the element as it is a 17 year old seat now. The elements are replaceable, but the labor is pretty spendy. To test it you will need a multimeter to check for continuity across the connectors that go to the seat heating elements and check for voltage at the car side of the connector. If you have 12v to one side of the connector and continuity to ground at the other side, and do not have continuity to the seat side between the connectors, you know it is a bad element.

Got a1997 cadillac deville got heat on passengers side no heat on drivers side could you tell me the problem.no defrost on drivers side either help please

DTC B1340 Air Mix Door #1 Movement Problem !
The heater and A/C programmer supplies voltage to an internal motor that drives the air mix door. The heater and A/C programmer monitors the air mix door position feedback from a sensor on the motor. If the air mix door is requested to move but the feedback voltage does not change, the heater and A/C programmer will store DTC B1340. If the air mix door feedback indicates that the feedback is near the hot or the cold extreme, the DTC will not set. Evaluate the operation of the air mix door through self diagnostics as described in the test description.
Test Description
Perform the Diagnostic System Check before continuing with the diagnosis of this DTC.
A Scan Tool allows for the direct control of the air mix door by observing the following conditions:
• The air mix door position feedback value
• The value`s difference from the air mix door commanded position value
These readings indicate a fault internal to the heater and A/C programmer in the air mix door sensor feedback.

Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check?
--
Go to Step 2
Go to Diagnostic System Check
2
With the engine running, connect a Scan Tool .
Turn the dual zone to OFF (passenger temperature offset at 0 or OFF).
Exercise the suspect actuator using the temperature control on the control assembly.
Is the door being commanded (COM) to the proper high and low values?
COM High 100 %
COM Low 0 %
Go to Step 3
Go to Step 4

If you are unfamilier with this , i suggest you take it to a ASE certified repair shop or the dealer .

I replaced the heat blend actuator because I was not getting any heat. Now, after replacing, all I get is hot air and no cold. The A/C was working fine just before replacing.

Do you have Manual Climate Control System or Dual Automatic Temperature Control System ?
The temperature control switch:
  • is a potentiometer that outputs a variable voltage to the temperature blend door actuator to set the position of the temperature blend door.
  • initiates closing of the heater control valve. When set to full COOL, a lever on the temperature blend door pivot shaft depresses the pintle of the heater control valve vacuum switch. The heater control valve vacuum switch then applies vacuum to the heater control valve, closing off engine coolant flow to the heater core.
  • is serviced only with the climate control assembly.
You may have disturbed something when changing the actuator , the vacuum switch o vacuum hose .

I have check engine light on and whe i checked the code is p4029

P0429 Description The Engine Control Module (ECM) monitors the switching frequency ratio of heated oxygen sensors 1 (front O2 sensor) and heated oxygen sensors 2 (rear O2 sensor).

A three way catalyst converter (Manifold) with high oxygen storage capacity will indicate a low switching frequency of heated oxygen sensor 2. As oxygen storage capacity decreases, the heated oxygen sensor 2 switching frequency will increase.

When the frequency ratio of heated oxygen sensors 1 and 2 approaches a specified limit value, the three way catalyst malfunction is diagnosed.
Possible causes - Catalyst Heater Control harness is open or shorted
- Catalyst Heater Control circuit poor electrical connection
- Faulty Powertrain Control Module

The heater put out very little heat. also the temperture gauge moves very little. is this a bad thermostat. or could it be a bad heat control value.

If the Temperature gauge is moving less than before, its your Thermostat. If the Engine Temperature is the same, then your heat control valve is not opening or a duct flap(called a door) is not moving under the dash.

Having a Bad thermostat will affect how controls on the engine work and when they work.
