My left rear wheel seems like it is somewhat spinning out before it jumps into motion and starts to make contact and move along with the other wheels????any clue as to what this can be?? it's as simple as backing out of my driveway and putting the car in drive and it's like the wheel doesn't go into drive at the same time the others do for a few seconds then kicks in and goes!!

What would cause my Aztek to make loud grinding, groaning and now sounds like something is broken in the rear while driving?

My hunch would be rear wheel bearings. Lift and spin each wheel listening for noise is all I can suggest at this point.

Emergency brake stuck

Raise the car , use jack stands for safety, inspect the e-brake cable assemblies along the bottom of the car for any signs of impact damage. Next, spin each wheel to see if one or both wheels are affected. Remove both rear wheels , if you have drums, try to wiggle or pry the drum off with a couple of screw drivers , inspect for fallen or broken hardware, if all looks ok, roll the adjuster so the drums can be installed freely. If this is caliper style, remove caliper , press and rotate the piston inward at least 1/4 ,if your going to install new pads, go all the way in, re-install calipers and wheels, depress brake pedal until firm and recheck wheels for binding.

When a strut is worn, what are symptons? How can one diagnose it? KIA Sephia 1998?..

some times you will get a bouncing in wheel ,nose dive in front end when stopping or hard breaking, did you try jacking up car so wheel is just off ground ,put a bar under tire and lift up observe wheel movement ,then do other wheels , if it is a strut the wheel will move up and down freely , look for fluid leaking around strut body ,5000 miles is not much of a factor things do break.the other is get the front end off the ground both wheels,SAFELY !!!!!! WITH THE CAR SHUT OFF WHEELS BLOCKED, have one person turn wheel while you observe it , look for anything wrong grab the wheel and try to move left to right (a small ) motion observe what happens ,is there wiggle ? with out moving steering wheel. if not sure of any of these ,PLEASE take it to a mechanic .hope this helps good luck. The car steering wheel would vibrate and the entire care would vibrate. Then go away. Drove about 200 miles, started again. Then stopped. Pulled over twice eveything looked okay. Got home and the...

the wheel bearings are going out if thay are now starting to heat up you need to replace them. but you can first jack up the front end ( both sides off ground together) get a long( 8' or better) 2 x 4 and place under wheel on ground andput presure on tire up wad and the tie sould move in a good bearing but if tire moves aound like its lose then it needs replaced

4 motion no longer in motion drives like a 2 wheel drive

i take it you know that IT IS a front wheel drive car that goes into 4wd when needed.NOT a permanent 4wd (it uses the abs/esp/torson diff computerised drive system).to prove this block the front wheels, jack up the rear of the car and put a brick under a rear wheel, then slowly lower the car until the brick gets thrown backwards.proving that 2 wheels will remain still whilst one is spinning...(this test takes 2/3 people to do it right...BE CAREFULL.

"Humming" or "bearing" type noise in left front at highway speeds

That's a hub bearing. Replace the one that's doing it. I'm assuming this 'roar' is coming from the front, NOT the rear.

Whineing nosie from rear

is it front or rear wheel drive? i believe its front. well i would say you have a wheel bearing or brake problem. jack up the car and hold wheel top and bottom and see if you can rock it, wheel bearing.
if its brake you will hear it when you spin the wheel.

Rear end in 1999 chevy 1500 binds on turns

well i had the same problem everyone told me the clutches in the rearend were sticking making it stick in positive traction (only your passanger side rear wheel pulls unless you start spinning then a type of clutch engages the other side so you have traction then when you stop spinning it disengages it should never be engaged if your on pavment) now you can do what i did listen to everyone when they tell you its normal or you can take it to someone with experience now and save yourself some money cause it will start popping then it will get some viberation then next it will break the clutches and when that happens you will have to replace the pinion, ring, and the spider gears as well as the clutches.make sure you have pleanty oil in rearend if you dont add the limited slip conditioner it might free clutches up but if i had it to do over id put it in the shop or stop driving it before i broke something hope this helped

1995 bmw 525i

Very common BMW problem. The front lateral arms that support the front to rear motion of the wheel. BMW calls it the upper, lower support arm. Two arms connect there. one left to right (think typical lower control arm, and this arm) It has a ball joint that connects to the lower most part of the strut and extends rearward to the rear crossmember and has a large bushing pressed into the arm. You can replace just the bushing if the ball joint end is ok. Bushings are about $45 each and you will need a press.
