Hi,
I know people complain only when fuel levels skyrocket(increase). You should be happy your fuel consumption has plummeted (reduced). However, for BMWs it is usually advisable you change the set. If a pully is bad, it usually affects other parts. Your BMW is rather old...these problems usually come with aging BMWs which usually have a lifespan.

Cheers.

HI. I HAVE A BMW E34 520I AUTOMATIC. HOW DO I CHECK THE TRANSMISSION OIL LEVEL AS IT HAS NO DIPSTICK AND HOW I FILL IN THE ATF?

Special tool from BMW works through the transmission oil pan, you can't buy the tool so BMW dealer is the only place to go.

My 2006 freelander (2000lt BMW moter) very high diesel consumption. You can smell it and lots of smoke (white and darker) please help. where do i adjast the pump.

One or more of the new injectors may be bad and delivering too much fuel. I don't think adjusting the pump is something that can be done without expert knowledge and tools.

Where is the fuel pump relay located in a bmw e34 520i

ECU (Engine Control Unit) relay, fuel pump relay and oxygen sensor heater relay are located in the under-hood E-Box. The E-box is under the large black plastic cover at the passenger side rear of the engine compartment.

For Its Location Diagram Click the link below:

Hi i have a 318i bmw 2001 my fuel consumption is

Last month, my wife complained of high gas usage as well. I suddenly remembered that I had forgotten to change the air filter the last time I did the oil change. It had been over 5 months since I'd put a new one in. So, we got a new air filter, and monitored the usage, and it was back to normal again. Maybe try this?

Seems that the fuel pump quit, check for fuel pressure, check for spark in the plugs and the fuel filter.

Turbo lag and lack of power

Hi,
This is the second Vw I have responded to in a fortnight.
Your lack of power I presume always happens when the glow plug light illuminates?
This is because it is causing over combustion to vaporised diesel, I would be looking in the Glow plug timer and relay, as for Turbo lag, I run a E34 6 cyl Bmw Diesel and the Turbo only kicks in around 2,500ish so maybe yours is a little tired or in need of a check up?
Hope this helped,
