I have a 1998 chevy Lumina that has randomly not started, and when I turn the key, all the power on the interior of the car shuts down, no radio, no lights, no power locks or anything. Any suggestions about what it could be? Things that have worked in the past but currently are not are: kicking the wires under the steering collumn, slamming the door really hard, Jiggling the wires under the fusebox near the battery has helped as well. None of that is working right now.
Battery terminals are loose or have corrosion on them. Check both main battery lead's at the battery and + where it is connected to the starter and - where it connect's to the body and engine.
