DSC light comes on when I run the A/C

I own a 2000 BMW 323i and recently the DSC light turns on when I run the air conditioner. When I drive the car without using the AC, the DSC light is off and I am still able to turn DSC on and off. Is this an indicator that my AC needs work? The AC currently operates great, just have this DSC light problem.

It is not your A/C the problem, try this:
1- Apply the brake.
2-Open ignition to on position II engine off.
3-make sure to set A/C to low temp with A/C button off.
4-Start the car while keeping foot on the brake.
5-push A/C button on and make sure that a/c compressor comes on and wait around 10-12 second.
6-Let foot of the brake and wait ,check if DSC light comes on if not pump the brake several time with A/C compressor on if light comes on, if it dose mean your MASTER CYLINDER BRAKE SENSORS NEED CHANGING.
This was the solution for my car,I had exact the same problem.

SOURCE: 1999 BMW 323i Will not start

Its not worth 3,000 if it won't start, not a 3 series. MAYBE give him 1500- no start problems are very hard to diagnose in these cars.

SOURCE: 2000 bmw 323i service engine soon light code =

you can buy a cheap scanner that will put this light out,i have a mechanic working for me that stands on the roof ,tweeks the radio and has one foot on the brake whilst turning on the lights and he puts out nearly every service light you can think of but he wont show anyone least of all me,but if it its a 99 model iam sure you can put the light out by using a 12v electrical screwdriver with the light inside and a cable comes out the end with a clip .then going across the pins on the special BMW connector block it will go out with the resistance of the bulb across it ,but ??big but ?does it have an OBDII connector or the round BMW type because we dont have OBDII on pre 2005 cars here in spain .Now we do and guess what ??its all encrypted software used ...makes me a dinasaur

SOURCE: I have the check engine code 1624 on my 2000 BMW

P1624- Pedal Position Sensor Potentiometer Supply Channel 1 Electrical.
The Siemens MSE43.0 Engine mamagement module is used on more than one model. The different meanings of the P1624 are based on your model.

The P1624 referenced here is for the MS43.0 engine management module with a note for M52 engines (323 / 328) that it is a coolant temperature below thermostat regulating temperature. You should have a M52 engine.

The MS42.0 engine mangement does not list a P1624 code in the Bentley manual.

The fault above cold be set due to the following:· Break/open in the wiring from the DME to the throttle motor(MDK).· The actuator or potentiometers inside the MDK could be contaminated.SOLUTION:
(If any of the faults listed are set) · Using a breakout box check for an open or short to ground in the wiring from the DME to the MDK.· If the wiring is intact then replace the MDK, then the adaptation values in the DME must be
cleared. Failure to do this will result in reoccurring faults.· Switch the ignition off for 30 seconds.· Turn on the ignition and delete the DME adaptations and the fault code
memory · Press the accelerator pedal to wide open throttle(WOT)4 times
MDK- motor driven throttle valve.
