Either you have a leaky vacuum line, or faulty throttle position sensor or other sensor. Many part stores will read your engine codes for free. This will pinpoint exact problem area

MAZDA 626 ENGINE RANDOM PAUSING/STALLING

The cooling system?? That would be my last guess, right after the spare tire. Sounds like an electrical issue. Quite often remote starters, especially those not installed at the factory, can cause these problems. Is there a "check engine" code?

2000 buick lesabre stalls

I know exactly what the problem is. Buicks suck. Dont buy one. I have one with same stalling issues and after what I've read even with a computer diagnostic there is no way to know. Its called a defective car from the factory.

I have a Semi-Automatic 2005 BMW e46 318i. The engine randomly cuts out (stalls) when decellerating, coming to a stop, or when stopped. Other than this problem the car drives fine, and the engine starts up...

The problem you are having sounds suspiciously like the torque converter is not disengaging to allow your engine to spin freely until you are ready to accelerate. If when decelerating or coming to a stop you feel a jerking sensation similar to driving a vehicle with a manual transmission and bringing the vehicle to a stop without depressing the clutch, then the problem you are having is faulty Torque Converter Control Solenoid or a bad Torque Converter itself. If you have any other questions please contact me here. Good luck.

The engine will stall randomly while driving, could

This is a common case for a problem with the crankshaft sensor. Have it checked out to replace.

1993 Ford Escort 1.9L Auto Randomly Stalls

I don't have the solution, but I have the same exact problem on my 1991 Escort 1.9L with auto with 120K miles. I replaced the IAC with no difference. In fact I unplugged it, and still had the random stalling. Also disconnected the EGR vacuum line...still stalled randomly. After it stalls it always starts right back up again. Sometimes it will act as if it's going to stall, but comes back to normal idle. Park or Drive makes no difference. Acceleration and all normal driving is fine. The next thing I was going to try is hooking up a timing light and watch to see if the timing light stops flashing as it's stalling, and/or hooking up a fuel pressure gauge somehow, to the fuel rail, to see if the pressure drops when stalling....to figure out if its ignition or fuel related.

Nissan Sentra random stalls and wont start hot

Check out the catalytic converter, might be plugged up. I have seen some cars that will run fine, and like someone threw a switch the car acted like yours, no power, would not rev and died. Later when cold they would be OK for a while then just get worse and worse.
