I have a 2001 Hyundai Accent w/250,000+miles. When i go to pump gas the pump keeps shutting off. This happens at EVERY gas station. From PA to Ga. So I know it isn't a pump problem. It does this...

it probably has to do with the EVAP system. Is the check engine lite on ? It could be a problem with the vent control valve, stuck closed or blockage in the hose.

Can't get gas into my 2002 Hyundai Accent.

The reason the gas station pump shuts off is when the fuel reaches the tip of the gas nozzle, so when you are filling your car and the gas nozzle (gas stations pipe) keeps shutting off it means that the pipe that runs to the gas tank is not open completely, what happens is when you pump the gas in the car the supply pipe from the gas tank opening to the tank fills up quickly and this causes the gas station pipe nozzle to shut off, have some body take down the gas tank and have a look at the gas tank opening and also gas supply pipe that runs from the gas filler opening ( on the car body) to the gas tank. Have a look at it and please don't forget to rate the answer if it was helpful, thanks!

2001 Accent not accepting gas.

I HAVE THE SAME CAR AND HAD THE SAME PROBLEM!!! I DROPPED THE TANK AND DISCONNECTED THE GAS INPUT HOSE (THE HOSE YOU PUMP YOUR GAS INTO, BIGGEST ONE) AT THE GAS TANK. IT HAD A ONE-WAY VALVE IN IT, I REMOVED IT AND HAVE HAD NO MORE PROBLEMS SINCE.

Will not start;will crankover

Step 1. Find a OBDII scanner (OBD stands for On-Borard-Diagnostics). Find out what DTC code (or codes) are stored in the ECU (DTC = Diagnostic Trouble Code, and ECU = Engine Control Unit - it's the computer which manages engine operation).
Step 2. After you find out which code is stored in the ECU, go to http://www.hmaservice.com/ and register your veh (by VIN). Afterward, you can navigate the Hyundai Service Site to find out what system is giving you problems, the diagnosis procedure and what may be needed to fix it.
Nuff said... Let me know what you find.

Can not pumb Gas into Hyundai 2001 accent

Try moving the handle in a different position, or don't put the nozzel all the way in. The vent tube could be clogged.

Fuel

Sounds like you should be checking the vent tube/hose, that runs along side your filler pipe, it may be plugged or kinked.
