SOURCE: Replace timing belt on Volvo S60
There is no room for error...... Zero clearance. If off one tooth it can and will bend valves. if you are one that just feels the need to get alittle dirty or just can't pay for the service, then get out your Haynes out and turn to .....Tune up, and look at replacing timming belt. Get a cam gear tool that locks them into place so as that they will not move when u have them lined up. make sure they are lined up with marks as said in book. then make sure crank as well as all marks are lined up acordingly. make sure belt marks are lined up with everything. i would reccomend using a volvo belt though cause it will have all the marks on it.However other company's make good quality belts also at a fraction of the price. So it is really up to you.
Good thing when doing timming belt is to also change out your timming belt tensioner. YES do this it will save you a engine in the long run. it is a moving part that will go bad, it will freeze up and snap timming belt. rip out teeth in thebelt and bend valves. So as a gen rule...When you change timming belt, Change belt tensioner at same time since you cant just change tensioner without changing or getting timming belt off. Remember to use your HAYNES. It is your friend and will save you money in the long run. Good luck... Hope this helps you.
SOURCE: volvo s60 idle sensor
if you could get your hands on a scanner to read some live data it would help your plight, there is a cam position sensor when you take of the the plastic head cover at the timing belt end,did you check plugs,it also might help to clean the maf with some contact spray, sounds like plugs
SOURCE: 2003 volvo s60, how do i adjust headlights
The adjustment screws/nuts should be located either on the top of the headlamp assembly,
behind the headlamp assembly, or near the frame rail by the radiator
support.
You will have vertical adjustment screws for each independent beam
(separate highs and separate lows, but will be same screw if highs and
lows are the same bulb). You may also have additional horizontal
adjustment screws as well
Park
your car on a level ground 30 feet from a wall and measure the height
from the ground to the bulb and mark on a wall (do this for highs beams
and low beams if the bulbs are separate, if highs and lows are the same
bulb, only do it for the lows)
For Low Beams: If the headlights read VOR, then
aim the brightest part or cutoff part just below the mark on the wall.
If it says VOL or nothing, aim them 2 inches below the mark on the wall.
For High Beams (if separate from low beams): Aim the headlight directly at the line you marked on the wall.
SOURCE: Volvo 2003 s60 sun roof do not open
check your fuse in position 38 in the fuse box....this fuse is for the car's alarm system but also seems to work the sunroof, I have a problem with this fuse when its not blown the sunroof opens with no problems but when it blows the roof will not open I am not sure how they are tied in together but they are....so I would say that you have an electrical issue....do not replace the motor until you check this first
SOURCE: I have a Volvo S60 T5 2002. I have not done the
There are a few things that need to be done, first the timing belt and waterpump if this engine has one most do, so for this you would need a waterpump timing belt kit with pulleys, next is a complete tune up, spark plugs ,wire if eng uses if not then coil boots, air and fuel filters cabin filter, pcv valve, a fuel system cleaning which is done by machine at a shop called a motor vac service. then check fan belt , flush cooling system, coolant needed.and then the rest of the service is a lot of checking like brake, suspension , exhaust etc, hope this helps.
