p07nnn codes are tranny
23 year old car, and old cars had few trannycodes
the service manual covers this, best is to get it and read it first.
so $20 is too much to pay to read it?
I WILL NOT POST 40 PAGES OF PCM SCHEMATICS HERE. EVER. https://eautorepair.net/Marketing/Default.asp
TDC TRANSMISSION RELAY SENDS POWER TO TCM SOLENOIDS
LIKE THIS.
P0753 Trans 3-4 Shift Sol/Trans Relay Circs
THE SERVICE MANUAL SHOWS HOW IT WORKS Symptom:
P-0753 TRANS 3-4 SHIFT SOLENOID/TRANS RELAY CIRCUITS
When Monitored and Set Condition: (OBD2 RULES)
P-0753 TRANS 3-4 SHIFT SOLENOID/TRANS RELAY CIRCUITS
When Monitored: Continuously with the key on.
Set Condition: This code is set if the voltage detected on the 3-4 Shift Solenoid Control
Circuit at the PCM is different than the expected voltage.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
FUSED B(+) FEED TO THE TRANS CONTROL RELAY OPEN
TRANSMISSION CONTROL RELAY DEFECTIVE " TDC

P1296 No 5-Volts to MAP Sensor
P0108 MAP Sensor Voltage Too High
P0500 No Vehicle Speed Signal Circuit
P1494 Leak Detection Pump Switch or Mechanical Faul
I would try MAP sensor first.
DTC P0753 is for the 3-4 shift solenoid in the trans. This is an electrical code, it will set when the voltage seen by the engine controller on the solenoid's control circuit is incorrect. The solenoid pack gets a constant 12v from the trans relay and is controlled by the engine controller by switching ground.
Since you don't have a code for the TCC solenoid that shares the same relay feed and you don't have a trans relay code set we know the problem is isolated to the solenoid or it's control wire. It could be a short, broken wire, or corrosion in the control wire between the trans and engine controller, but this is almost always the solenoid itself.
This code is not not saying replace parts. They say check it out on yours a code 753 points to a 3-4 shift solenoid relay problem or wiring problem. Other thing to check could be the speed sensor module that screws into the side of the transfer case. back feeding bad info to ECM.
P0443
EVAP Purge Solenoid Circuit Malfunction Check your gas cap make sure that it is on tight, or just replace roughly 7 dollars.
P0753
3-4 Solenoid/Transmission Relay Circuit Malfunction - With Automatic Transmission I would try clearing the codes and seeing if this one comes back on. If it does then you need the Transmission Relay, it is located in the engine compartment.
1753 is your transmission lockup solenoid is bad. I would replace this solenoid and it will most likely clear the code for the P0753 or since you are going to be in there you can just replace both.
Everything is at your local parts store, they might have to order it but that will take 1 day
PO753 code on a Durango can also be caused by a bad transmision relay in the relay -fuse block behind the battery in the engine compartment. (relay # 31 on 1999 Durango) Before you attempt to replace the 3-4 solenoid, or take to a transmission shop, try changing the relay out with another known good relay, reset the code and try it. I learned this today from an honest transmission shop. Shifts normally again, check engine light is out, and the shop did not charge me a dime. Kudos to Trans Medic in Gresham OR.
