Dim Headlights Check the lens over the headlamp. It may be clouded or yellowed with age. If so, time for new lenses.

You can polish the headlight lenses to make them clear again. You can buy a kit with polishing compound and a buffing wheel, or use the same polishing compound that you use to take scratches and haze out of your cars paint, or silver, brass or copper polish would work as well. You can even mix some tooth paste and baking soda, use a damp rag and rub the paste over the lens buffing really hard and fast, then wipe the lens off and buff it with a clean dry rag. Do one lens at a time and the tooth paste polish trick takes more work than polishing compound but it does work.

Try after market head light bulbs, 50 bucks or so at you local parts store, they even sell a product for those plastic headlight lenses.
try a Silver Star head light bulb for you car is should brighten up the road better than the stock headlight bulbs. hope this solves your problem. Charles

Wash your headlights well using soapy water; rinse and dry. Dip a corner of your soft rag in denatured alcohol, which you can find at most paint or hardware stores. Rub the solution on your lens in small, circular motions. Repeat until your headlights lose some of their yellow hue.

2000 GRAND CARAVAN: Extremely dim headlights, because headlights are so narrow. Installed 9007SU Silverstar Ultra bulbs 3 years ago. Age 77 so poor night vision + still DIM headlights is BAD at night! ...

The silverstar bulbs while brighter, have a considerably shorter life span than conventional bulbs. If the headlights are dim, it would mean a bad electrical connection most commonly a bad ground. If they are just too dim for your liking and burn at the normal brightness, you might want to consider having auxilliary headlamps installed.

Is hard for me to see at night the headlights doesn't iluminate that much no more what can i do?

Your vehicle is equipped with composite headlights. That means that they are made out of plastic. The bulbs are replaceable. You can access the bulbs from under the hood. Most likely, your headlight lenses have become frosted with age. If that is the case, here is how to make them clear again: Get a sheet of 2000 grit wet or dry sandpaper at any auto parts store. soak the sandpaper in warm water for about 10 minutes to soften it up a little. Now cut the sheet of sandpaper into approximately 4inch by 4inch sheets. Take one sheet and fold it in half. You will use this sheet to sand your headlight lenses. making sure that the lense and the sandpaper stays wet, lightly sand the entire lense until it begins to clear up and become smooth. When it reaches that stage, you will need to use a good automotive rubbing compound and a dry cloth and buff out all the sandpaper scratches. I've done this many times with excellent results. The headlight won't be good as new, but it will be much brighter. There are products on the market made just for this purpose, but they are pricey. Also, the halogen bulbs inside your headlights will become yellow with age. It's a slow process so most people don';t realize how dim their lights have become. New halogen bulbs will make a dramatic improvement now that your lenses are clear again.

Brighten headlamp lense

Polishing the lenses is a temporary fix and doesnt last long, and then its worse than it was to begin with. You can try with some plastic polish and get them the best you can or replace the headlights, There are several companies on the net that you can purchase lights from, just google Cadillac Headlights and shop around. .Make sure they are dim because of the lens and not an electrical problem.

the lenses are most likely clouded over? yellowed? sometimes you can buy a kit to polish them, but I would recommend replacement, polish doesnt last long, and you will need to replace them anyhow. the DRL lights are operating normally

Decreased headlamp intensity.

I have sucessfully used Mother's plastic polish on my 97 headlights and my 90 headlights and the bug shield on my 97. It cleans and polishes the yellowed plastic. I applied it with a mini-powerball in a cordless drill.
