More than likely it takes 4.5 quarts or possibly 5 with oil/filter change. But to make sure there is an easy way to find out. Park the vehicle on a level surface. Drain all the oil out and change the filter. Now pour in 4 quarts of the correct weight oil, and start the engine. Let it run for 30 seconds and then shut down for 30 minutes. Check the level of the oil and add as necessary to fill it up. Probably wil take 1/2 or 1 quart. Warning: Do not overfill!
Put 4 Qts of oil in the engine. Fill the oil filter with the other qt of oil, Wipe some oil on the gasket. So it will seal good. after the filter is full, Put the rest of that qt in the engine. Start the engine let it run for a short time. check for leaks around the filter and the drain plug. No leaks turn the engine off Wait 10 minutes for the oil to run down to the bottom of the oil pan. Check the level. if its full it takes 5 qts. If its a qt low it takes 5... So be sure to pick up a xtra for this test. you don't need anybody to tell you how many qts ypu need! you can find out for your self. Hope you share this with others. your friendly mechanic... Put in 4 quarts then check oil using dipstick -- if a quart low, put in another quart.
