HI..
On a problem with oil pressure sensor leaking.
99% you need to replace the sensor with a new one.
Because if you can see the leak is not for the tread or gasket of the sensor.
If you can disconnect the the wire from the sensor.
and try to start you will see the leak coming from inside on the plastic, where the pins. of the sensor.
OK.. I hope this information work for you.
I work on Cars everyday.
Thank you fo use fixya.

It's on the engine, right next to the starter, it has one wire going to it. You don't need to drain the oil. If the light is coming on, you may have bad seals in the oil pan, a fairly common problem, but replacing the switch is a good fisrt step.
SOURCE: Exactly where is oil pressure sending unit located
if you have the 5.2 V8 its located in the rear of the engine near the dist cap area you can see it if you look in that area , if 4.0 6 cyl its located on the side of the engine block near the oil filter area. It has two wires going to it and screws into the block. It's made mainly of plastic and if broken can allow oil under pressure to spew out and give you thoughts of a blown rear main seal due to the amount of oil all over the underside.

For 4.0 engine, it is between the oil filter and the firewall. Sometime it could be hidden behind the harness there. So, move the harness and you will see it.
