need to have shop or auto parts do a fault scan to determine what failed. Could be simple glitch but don't put it off, if there's a problem "they don't fix themselves"

My Hyundai XG 250 (V6)

If the starter cranks the engine at normal cranking speed, it's not a starter problem. So you have to check for fuel and spark.

Rack and pinion

A noise like you are describing is not related to the rack and pinion steering. It is related to a cv joint. If you can find a parking lot that has no cars in it. turn in a tight circle to the right and listen then do the same to the left. You will hear the noise and can tell which one it is coming from.

Dashboard "emergency brake engaged" indicator not working nor are electric side-view mirrors

Those lights rarely burn out. More likely the switch on the brake handle came unplugged. Try grounding the wire from the ebarke switch with the key on. 0996b43f8024e4ce-lxsvs4ftyjtcqsaualeaxmu4-5-0.gif For the mirrors, I would pull up the control panel and probe for power. Trace the power through the mirror sekection switch, etc. 0996b43f8024ee04-lxsvs4ftyjtcqsaualeaxmu4-5-2.gif

Intake plenum problems

First never attempt to clean or touch the element of a Mass Airflow sensor, it will damage it. A dirty air filter can put MAF sensor out of range. Change the air filter. The popping during acceleration is an indication of fuel starvation. Change the fuel filter. Do the OBDII scan again and delete the stored fault history so that anything else that comes up will be current. Use the current fault history as a guide to any further repairs to avoid buying parts you don't need
