Open driver door,unclip plastic panel end of dash
Cheeck/replace fuse 44 15amp
Should be a diagram in fuse box

Hi, I have a 2012 Kia Optima EX and one day my backup camera decided it wanted to retire. The radio and navigation work on it but the camera only has black screen with color lines. Apparently when I went to get 5 yes 5 recall items fixed they messed with my lights and I asked them to check why my backup camera isn’t working. Instead of looking they just quoted it will be $456 to install a new one? Well I had to go to another Kia dealer to have them fix all the lights (2 of which were brand new in the fog lights yet they wouldn’t work after first dealer hmmm). The other dealer is saying it’s $366 for the part and little more than $500. Can’t I go buy the backup camera (my husband said he backed into my daughters van and probably cracked it and moisture got in it - now that I’m on a rampage). I am disabled with a back injury for life and the backup camera saved me several times from backing into things or not seeing someone come behind my car as I was backing up. So basically if the OEM works the radio and navigation can still work and I just need to buy a new camera? The wires look fine and my son said he could unsnap the yellow part and take off the old camera and just put the new camera in: is that reliable because I would trust my son better: otherwise should I just go buy a new backup camera and use the monitor for it? Thank you
