The fob doesn't have a replaceable battery. The door is currently locked shut, so I can't get into the van.
Dead fob battery also the the arm on the lock cylinder has a plastic clip it's broken you can slim Jim the passengers door to gain entry if the fob is fried
If you can get to an Auto Zone they can check to fab. If the battery is dead they can help you replace it.

the key has lost its code. open the doors manually and use the central locking button inside the car. hold it down and keep pressing your key fob. this should re code the key

I have a 2001 C240 with the same issue. I removed the positive battery cable from the battery and kept it off for 30 seconds then replaced it. Everything was reset and the key worked.

Insert key into door barrel or ignition lock and turn key, whilst doing this press the unlock/lock button, the led on the dash should flash to indicate this has initialised the key to the car, then remove key and test operation of remote. If this fails then a new remote plus coding to the car by your dealership is needed

Mine was the actual key wouldn't unlock few doors. Turn out that key was worn out. $80 + fix. Hope this helps somebody!
