If it doesn't blow at all I would suspect the blower motor but it could also be the switch, do this. Unplug the blower motor and check for current at the connector, if you don't have a test light or DVOM take a long piece of wire and feed battery positive directly to the motor if it doesn't run replace it, if it runs look at the switch. I hope this helps. Take care. Note if the blower has a 2 wire plug you'll have to supply a ground wire as well.

SOURCE: cooling fan relay 1998 neon

on the left(driver's) side of the lower rad support. It's a small flat relay with a plug on the bottom and usually has a blue colored front. held on by two screws. Also, there may be more rad fan relays in the underhood fuse/relay box.
Good luck.

SOURCE: 2003 chevy silverado air does

The air vents are control by vacuum line and or linkage.

Listen for hiss or feel for vacuum leak under the dash,

Feel for broken linkage(s) that are close to the vents.

WORK BACKWARD if you have small hands to feel out where is the missing link.

SOURCE: Chevy 1998 Express 1500 8 cyl Keeps blowing ecm-b fuses

i have a 1998 3500, with the 5.7v-8, and fought electrical problems for eight months now. i believe it is a problem within the chevy van, because a lot of people complain about blown fuses. my fuse was the ecm-b fuse as well, and after cleaning all the grounds and bat. connections, starter connections, and disabling the a/c circuit, on the advice of another poor van owner i replaced the ignition coil. six months so far, and no problems. this might help you as well. mine did not have any visable problems, but he was persistant, so i did it. good luck

2001 Silverado 1500...AC Blower Motor not coming on at any speed. Checked all fuses, all good. Motor tested good, so I replaced resistor and harness, did not help any. Whats next? SOLVED !

What's next? Auto repair shop. lol You check all the fuses ? How looking at them ? Did you check for battery voltage across the fuses using a voltmeter ? Did you look at a wiring diagram to see what all is involve in making the blower motor work. Just replacing parts is not how to fix the problem.

1998 Chevy Silverado 1500 Brake light fuse blew, replaced, fuse blew again, replaced relay and fuses. both under hood and in side fuse panel. Fuses keep blowing on turn signal and brake lights. Checked...

you obviously have a short to ground on one of the wires to the back (if it was the front the brake shouldn't blow the fuse). the most common problem is usually in a trailer light harness. if you look under the drivers side rear of the truck, down under the tail light there will be a plugin junction. pull this plug-in apart and see if the fuse still blows. if it does then the problem is forward of that connector, if it doesn't then the problem is behind that plugin. be sure to check for "green death" (electrical corrosion) at all joints especially any trailer hook ups.

2000 Chevy silverado 1500 blower not blowing

there are two or three things to check first the fuse in the fuse box next there is a resistor that controls the fan speed that will go bad and last the blower motor itself if you can get to it you can run a twelve volt source to the hot or positive terminal and it should come on if it is still working .

I recently hooked up a New CD player in my 1995 1500 silverado,, and the heater and A/C stopped blowing but its getting power to it still and it acts like it wants to blow.. I checked the fuses and wires...

there is a resistor that controlls the speed of the fan and you have to replace it it is located where the plug goes to the fan motor it should have two plugs in it one from the controlls the other goes from the resistor to the fan it is a dealer only item it costs around 89 dollars check different dealerships if you have more than one close by the price will vary my 2006 chevy silverado work truck lost the 1 and 2 speeds then others and it was freezing out and i replaced it and have not had any problems since inspect the wires i had two wires and one part of the plug melted on mine went to junk yard and got a new plugg for under ten bucks dealer wanted 117 dollars

Where is the fuse for the door locks on a 1996 chevy 1500 series

For 1996 Chevrolet 1500, the fuse block door access is on the drivers side edge of the instrument panel. Pull off the cover to cover to access the fuse block. Check the position 13 (Power Amp, Cigarette Lighter, Door lock Relay, Power Lumbar Seat) and A position (Power Door lock, Six-way Power Seat, Keyless Entry Module).

Other details can find in the 1996 Chevrolet 1500 - Owners Manual

Hope this help (remember rated this help).

Fan stopped blowing, h/vac fuse was intact; air

Your fan motor may have failed. The other option would be the high blow relay or the resistor unit. I hope this helps.

Chevy silverado 1500 2003. For several months the fan has only worked on "5". Today, even when off it only blows high. I had to pull the fuse for the blower. Any ideas?

The blower resistor needs to be replaced, that is why your only have the highest setting working since the blower speed resistor's are being by past. The other thing that happened is since the blower is always on high, the high current most likely burnt out the blower relay and ir stuck in the close loop and needs to be replaced. pay attention to the wire harness, since it got hot enough to damage the relay, it may have damaged the wire harness to and fire may start due to a short. Good luck and hope this helps.
