See if you can locate the emission decal located anywhere under the hood if you can see even a little part of it you may be able to match it up with one on line. I hope this helps, take care.

SOURCE: where does the vacuum advance line go on an old rochestor carb

Get a tee fitting for the size of the vaccum line and connect the advanced line into an existing line from the carb. Worked for me on one of my old cars.

Dodge slant 6

I'm not sure, it's been a while but I think it's a 2 barrel. Take the breather off and look down inside the carb. There will be 1 or 2 "holes" going down, these are the barrels.
Putting a larger carb on it will require an adapter plate. I do recall back in the 80's seeing an adapter plate for a 4 barrel for a slant 6. Probably your best bet would be to get in touch with a company like "Summit Racing" and see what they have available.

84 f150 carburetor out of tune

When you get a rebuilt carb you have no idea what the
applications are for

I suggest you rebuild your own,
that way you have all the settings
& experience when your done

I think the float needs to be set correctly
& maybe the pump if there is anything for that
external

You have to have some knowledge about basic
adjustments of air idle screws

Start about one turn out from seated & then use a
vacuum gauge to get the highest reading & then go in
a 1/4 turn
Can use a tach also or both, then reset the timing

I would have all 3 on motor at once

When done you set the idle screw with air cleaner on

I need to know how to adjust the carb jets to the right setting on my 1984 ford f150 straight 6 1 barrel carb

The jets are inside the carb & there is no adjustment

You referring to adjusting the one or two idle screws
that are visible, most likely on the front of the carb in the
base plate

You can use a vacuum gauge or a tach along with it
to get the highest vacuum reading & rpm if you use a
tach also.

You do that at an idle with the vacuum gauge teed in
to a vacuum source

Then just turn the screw in about a quarter turn from the
highest reading

Have to reset the idle screw & recheck your timing
without vacuum advance hooked up.

If you can find any specs, you can use them
They most likely will use rpm as the setting point

Need to set up an evap canister in a 85 camero 350 4 barrel auto

Is this stock which would actually be a a 305 Camaro with a 4 barrel feed back Quadrajet?
Basically,
Vapor line from the tank to a Tank Pressure Control Valve (small round inline valve) then to the "Tank" port on the Evap canister (they are usually marked)

The other canister port marked "Purge" goes into a Vapor Contol Valve. That Valve has three more ports. One to the carb bowl vent, manifold vacuum and to a Thermal Vacuum Switch.
The last port of the Thermal Vacuum Switch connects to port vacuum from the carburator.

Can't remove an inline fuel filter nut

If I were you, what I would do is cut the line, try to get it out of the 1" nut that is in the carb in a vise. Then replace the line from the fuel pump up, if I remember it's 5/16" and maybe 3-4 ft long. Being a L6 motor fuel pump is easy to get too. If you can't get line out of 1" nut they do sell the at auto parts stores in the help racks.
