The noise is similar to the blinker sound though slightly louder and much quicker. I have pulled each fuse one by one and the 10A Engine Cont fuse stops the clicking. The air-cond and radio is off. The driver's courtesy light has been out for a while though the clicking stops when the driver's door is open, ie the RHF courtesy light switch is out/on. Opening other doors instead has no effect. No strange indicator lights are on the dash. The car starts fine. How this happened may be relevant: The passenger front door would not close and I could see some black plastic bits had shattered in the door latch. I jammed the door light so the battery wouldn't flatten, removed the door trim, disconnected the courtesy light and then the LHR door latch mechanism which was still connected for testing. It was full of gunk so cleaned with WD40 and removed the remaining broken bits of the door latch. It then operated as expected. When putting the latch back in the LH door frame the clicking noise* started. I don't see any damaged wiring. I reinstalled the latch which worked fine, opening from inside and out and locking/unlocking both with the door lock knob and the key. I found a door trim courtesy light lug was broken so did not bother connecting and just taped up the connectors. I then found the battery was just too flat to start the car. I recharged it and the car now starts but the clicking* persists until the driver's door is opened. The clicking starts again when closed. Any help is appreciated.

You have broken wires in the flexable harness between the door and the body. Pull the rubber boot back to inspect.

Mine did this. I went around to each door and sprayed a liberal amount of WD-40 in the latch, then open and closed each door about five times. It hasn't done it since. I think the switch inside was not moving freely.

Have 2005 Sienna and its Driver side door was not openning. Cheap dealer fixed it himself in front of me. After opening the doors plastic assembly while sitting inside with a screw driver. Then he bent the clip towards left where the metal wire is connected. If you guys want to see what he did i would record a video and upload for you guys. Let me know at [email protected]

you definitely need to take apart the door. There's something not right inside.

if you can here relays when unlocking/locking check for power at door lock actuators inside doors, if you have power on lock/unlock and good earth from connector actuators are faulty.
if no power on test light when operating check output from central door lock module while operating, none coming out of module then it might need replacing.
check 30Amp power fuse for main relay under bonnet (which goes to pin 8 white/blue on module)and 10Amp gauge fuse in cab(pin 1 blue/red on module),pin 15 is also power when relay is on(red/blue) with test light, and module/ actuators.
check outputs from module pin 3 & 4
blue/red
blue/black
that go to door locks
