Hi Diego.
1954 is the starting point in creating the new range of trucks by Mercedes-Benz. Everything started with light upgrade and rename of the previous series. The L3500 and L4500 models have received three-digit numeric codes - L311 and L312, which indicated the type of installed engine. The design of trucks has not changed (externally can be distinguished only by windscreen wipers, installed from below, not from above as on the previous version). There was also a four-wheel drive LA version. In 1954, a 4.6-liter diesel engine, installed on fire chassis "L311F", has received a turbocharger for the first time, which increased power from 100 to 115 hp. Totally about 175 thousand trucks of L311/L312 models have been made.

SOURCE: Transmission Fluid - 1987 Mercedes-Benz Diesel Turbo

It took Mercon Dextron III.

Of course, MD IV, V or Mutli-Vehicle would be better (the new multi-vehicle formula is what is being widely recommended by all nowadays).

SOURCE: Mercedes-Benz E-Class Diesel air conditioner not

You cannot accuratly check the freon level without compressor engaged. Without car running that needle better be pegged or its low. Charge with car running with dials set to max cool with fan speed on hi. Slowly while charging with compressor engaged bring it up to 2K rppms while filling. Should take around 3 cans. Get the stuff with stop leak.

First, I suggest scanning the computer car with OBD scanner reader tool; just note the code number for other details.

How do I disable the speed governor on a 2006 Mercedes Benz diesel engine?

that is not a sensible thing to do on a diesel as it will just keep revving until it destroys its self , if its more power etc you want then a good service and a fuel addative would be much more advisable

Drain Diesel from gas tank

No easy way, if you can get an electric pump, or a pump attachment for a power drill. Remove the fuel line, either at the fuel filter or the fuel rail, connect the pump with a bridging piece of hose, and let the pump do the work. Refill with a couple of gallons of petrol. Vehicle might smoke a little till all traces of diesel are gone. Diesel in petrol is not as bad as petrol in diesel. As you did not run the engine very little diesel will get up to the engine. Good Luck.

1997 Mercedes 300E diesel, 186K. Multiple instances of Check Engine Lights, Oxygen sensor replaced 2x. Engine has stopped unexpectedly while driving, 2 codes (Check Oil Pressure & ETS) , alternator...

Try or (have your mechanic) remove oil pressure switch and clean. They gum up and it's a safety feature that when car is in accident and/or roll over, when oil pressure drops (eng quits) power to fuel pump shuts off. Sticking oil pressure switch is common on Benz Diesels
