If it has pop rivets holding the motor in place you have to drill 4 rivets out. YouTube may have a video to show it. There are two bolts holding the regulator to the window. Get those lose and pull the window up and use tape to hold the window up. After that you can deal with remove the regulator and motor.

SOURCE: Replacing Motor and Regulator on 2000 chevy silverado

you'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to pull off the seal in order to see inside the door. The motor and regulator will be held in by a few bolts that may be tricky to get to.... This is probably going to be up to 3 hours if you're unsure of what to do...

SOURCE: Mazda MPV: how to raise power window manually?

Hi,
I just had this problem with my driver door window. I took the door panel off and discovered that the motor was burnt out by testing with a meter.

I called around and found a motor at a junkyard for $135 dollars! I didn't bother looking at the price for a new one yet. Budget is very tight right now.

Like you I just wanted a way to get the window up until I could get around to replacing the part.

You can find out what I did with pictures here.

This is for the front driver side window. I did the same for the rear passenger side window and the steps are fairly similar.

There are few less steps to getting the panel off, but it was a little trickier to get the panel back on. (The key was to pull the bottom out and start at the front: Lower the forward part of the panel over the top of the frame first - while pushing firmly at the top of the panel).

The steps for disengaging the motor and raising the window with the motor re-engaged are almost the same. The only differences are that the motor is in a different position in the frame. It's down near the bottom of the frame - and seemingly inaccessible at first glance.

However, if you disconnect the motor from the frame and let it dangle on the regulator wires, you can pull it all the way through to the other port in the frame. That way, it turns out that, it was even easier to work with than the driver window motor.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Electric Window not working. Need to know how to

Sounds like you have a problem with your window regulator. you need to unbolt the motor from the panel and take window off the regulator. I also have a 99 intrigue and my drivers side window did the same thing. The wire cords on the regulator where frayed and we replaced it. Found a new one of Autopartswarehouse.com for about $42 dollars with the motor.

Override power window switch

Try the switch on the pass side door. Otherwise you need to remove the drivers door panel, access the switch, print a wiring diagram and jump power to the window motor with a jumper wire.

NO COST and fast PROCEDURE TO FIX IT:

2. Ignition key is on
3. Door in question is opened (in case you closed it)
4. While door is open, press and hold power window button in desired window travel, keep button pressed !!
5. SLAM hard the door closed with one hand while other hand holds button as per #4.
6. Watch window operate as it should.

7. Repeat 3-6 if necessary, but usually the first try works!

My 2000 Durango electrical/wiring problems...

The power lock problem is definately the electric lock actuator in the door. Replace it.
The power window problem could be the switch or the motor.
Put a test light on the motor connections. Operate the power window switch up and down. If the light works both directions, then replace the motor. If the light only lights one direction, then replace the switch... and you still might have to replace the motor afterward so do not think that replacing the switch is absolute. They sometimes fail together.

Door lock on passenger front works on all other doors but the passenger door will not lock nor will the button go up or down.

If the driver door control operates all of the other doors locks correctly then its the switch on the passenger door thats defective . Because the driver control supercedes all other controls. But if the driver door does not operate the passenger door lock then its the passenger door motor/solnoid.

Passenger power window does not work 2002 Silverado HD Ext Cab

REMOVE THE DOOR PANEL TO GET TO THE WINDOW MOTOR. REMOVE THE CONNECTOR ON THE MOTOR. LOOP A TEST LIGHT FROM BOTH TERMINALS. WITH THE KEY ON AND BOTH SWITCHES IN PLACE, CHECK TO OPERATION OF THE SWITCHES. IF THE LIGHT COMES ON IN BOTH DIRECTION THE WINDOW MOTOR IS BAD.

THERE IS A CIRCUIT BREAKER BUILT INTO THE WINDOW MOTOR. SOMETIME HITTING THE MOTOR WITH MAKE THE CIRCUIT BREAKER RESET BUT THE MOTOR WONT LAST LONG DOING THAT.

ALSO TRY PULLING DOWN ON THE WINDOW WHILE TRYING THE SWITCHES. THE WINDOW COULD JUST BE STUCK. THIS HAPPENED TO ME.

Power window front passenger

I had the same problem on my 1992 lesabre. The solution is to test the window motor itself with an external 12 volt power supply ( I used the car battery and some jumper cable w/ 2 screw drivers - not recommended for amatures! LOL) First remove the door panel which is difficult but you'll figure it out if you are qualiifed to repair your window yourself. Then test the window moptor if it functions (in both directions) THEN IT IS THE WINDOW SWITCH, A FUSE OR A RELAY. If the moter does not function then replace the motor
Good Luck
You can get a new window motor on ebay or at your local junk yard or (god forbid) the dealership
