Yes I have manual and it doesn't show fuse box diagram and what each fuse or relay goes too
Usually the fuse schematic and what they control is on the inside of the fusebox covers - one is under the left dash and other is under the hood on the same side. If you have an owners manual, you'll find all this in there.

Go to www.flmowner.com ,type in the year, make and model of your vehicle. Select "find my vehicle". Select "owner guide 1st edition". You will find the fusebox diagrams for your windstar starting on page 205. I hope this helps.

The problem is your car has a remote starter installed. There is suppose to be a hood switch to disengage the remote system whe the hood is open. When the battery is changed, and the cables are hooked back up it reboots the remote starter circuit and starts the car. Can be dangerous is fingers are in the way or its a manual trans cars which would then run over you. Usually if this happens again, step on the brake pedal, this will usually disengage the remote start system. If you didnt know you had one, now you do.
