the remote programming may have been erased-with the doors locking automatically it is a feature that should be able to be changed-you will have to check the owners manual on how to change that feature
as far as the remote-you will have to contact a hyundai dealer about reprogramming the remote-it may also just need a battery
Your remote needs to be "reprogrammed" after battery replacement. Not sure if yours is done in this manner. This is how my remote is reprogrammed on my 1999 Corvette. Stand beside drivers side door, point remote at the car while holding the Lock and Unlock buttons at the same time. Within 10-15 seconds the horn should beep letting you know the reprogramming was successful.
Replace the battery. If that does not work, you can re-program it with another remote if you have one. If this is the one and only remote you have, you probably will have to take it to the dealer to have it reprogrammed.
