Cont. next store my key would not unlock door, and yet started car fine. (mailbu only has one key insert point drivers side,, wife's key worked. what in the world??
Your key may be worn just enough that it does not engage the the tumblers in the door lock, but will start the car. Unlocking a door with a key involves mechanical engagement of key and tumblers, but starting involves mechanical and electrical engagement to start the car. The teeth on the key are probably worn. Get another key cut from your wife's key not yours and make sure it is programmed correctly.

The reason the radio is staying on is the retained accessory power not shutting down when the driver's door is opened. You can verify this by opening the door with the key on, if the door ajar light on the instrument panel does not light up the switch in the door latch is defective. You will need to replace the door latch.

the solenoid on that door is either shot or something wrong with the wiring..possible it has a fuse for each door but doubtful
SOURCE: My key will open my trunk, but not unlock my doors or start my car.
Open the trunk. Take out the trunk lid light - take the bulb out of the fixture. Place a 12 volt battery in the trunk. Take an alligator clip jumper wire - connect one end to the negative terminal of the battery and the other end of the jumper wire to the car chassis - make sure it is a good connection and is not on a painted surface - I place mine on a bolt on the rear light panel. Take another alligator clip jumper wire and connect one end to the 12 volt positive terminal and connect the other end to the short end of the light connectors (there are two connectors for the light - one is short and one is long). This should give you enough voltage to unlock the doors. I had to figure this out and have used it twice on my BMW.
