2001 Corolla S only brake lights in back do not work window does

I have checked every fuse and the lights themselves. The window mounted brake light is working. Wonder if I am legal with only the window brake light. Also, someone said to check the blue connection on the left of the lights and to see if it smells burnt. Smelt okay to me. HELP!!! Single and unemployed.

Why is the high mount stop light not working?

The same 15amp fuse for the regular brake lights powers the high mount light. If the regular brake lights work but the high mount does not, it could be the lamp monitor or a wiring problem.

Brake lights do not work.

Are the brake lights the ONLY lights that do not work? Does the third (high mount) brake light work when you apply the brake pedal?
The Hummer H3 is basically a Chevy Trailblazer in Hummer clothing.. so the first place to look is the brake light fuse. If it is good, then check for power at the brake light switch mounted near the top of the brake pedal pivot area. Also be sure that the bulbs themselves are OK.

Tail lights wont come on in 2001 toyota corolla

Check brake light switch, probably under dash,
on or next to brake pedal lever.
If bulbs and switch[es] check out, have helper press pedal,
and check for voltage/power at sockets.

1998 Lincoln Town Car ONLY CENTER BRAKE LIGHT IN REAR WINDOW WORKING. I'VE CHANGE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH. STILL NO LEFT OR RIGHT BRAKE LIGHT.

If the hight mount brake light is working , then your switches , fuses , relays , are OK . Most likely problem is that the bulbs themselves are burnt out , or there is a broken or loose wire.

My brake lights dont work or front lights. could that be a fuse or need to buy bulbs or worse.

with brake lights, there are many possibilities.
first check the fuses. look at your owner's manual for the location of the fuse box. also,
for the brake lights, there's usually a switch built into the back side of the brake pedal. these can become loose , get unplugged or even just wear out.of course, they could be burned out. by front lights, i assume you mean headlights. either way, once again check the fuses, also check the bulbs themselves. if none of this works and you are having this much trouble with the electrical system, you might want to take it to a tech.

Stop lights on my 2001 explorer sport

IF you have NO brake light in the rear and NO HIGH mount stop light. You may have a BAD Brake light switch this located at the top of the brake pedal under the dash. Replace switch and that should solve your problem. Good luck and thanks for using FIX YA

2005 Corolla LE brake lights not working

to ss1957, i have exactly the same problem as yours. At first i thought the bulbs of both side are okay because the filaments (there's two on each) are intact. It turned out that they're not. The brake lights came back as soon as I replaced the bulbs.

I have a 2001 toyota corolla. The brake lights do not work, i changed the fuse & the brake switch. The lights still don't work, what else could it be?

Have you checked the switch for power? get a cheap test light and you should have power on one side of the switch all times. If you dont it will be a supply fault eg fuse, fusable link. does every thing else work, intieror lights, clock, haz, horn. if you have power on it check other side of switch when pressing brake padal, if so ceck for power at lamps with pedal pressed. if so check for correct type lamp or an eath problem. see how you go...
