Water in the oil, or oil in the water, means just one thing: BLOWN HEAD GASKET.
This is a very bad thing and could kill yor engine if you don't get it fixed right away. Really.

Remove the trim bezel around the instrument cluster. You may also need to remove the instrument cluster as well. there are two bolts securing the switch housing to the bezel.
The P0404 is EGR Position Sensor Performance. Changing the EGR should
solve the problem. The labor time guide only calls for .7hrs to change,
so it shouldn't be a problem to do this yourself. And the EGR should be
able to be obtained from any local parts store (i suggest a better
quality part store like NAPA as opposed to AutoZone)
