You need to take it to the dealer as they are the only ones who can program your PCM.

I am looking for a wiring diagram for the PCM on a 2002 Saturn L series 200

Hi,

Saturn was owned by general motors, so I would recommend calling GM and asking them to email you the diagram. Their phone number is 1 (800) 462-8782.

Thank you.

My 2003 Saturn L300 engine code P1780 wont run when it get hot?

#PIP3922: Repeat DTC P0606 And P1780 Setting - keywords 00 01 02 03 04 05 DTC JB L81 MAF MIL P0606 P1780 reducedpwrmde reman saturn - (Sep 26, 2006)

Subject: Repeat DTC P0606 and P1780 Setting

Models: 2000-2005 Saturn L series with L81 V6 The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
A technician may find codes P0606 and P1780 setting. They may state that they are not able to duplicate the concern. Tech may state that when the customer is driving they report a sudden loss of power, then no throttle response, and the warning indicators come on. Tech may also state that the ECM and MAF were replaced with no change.
Recommendation/Instructions:
These codes will set if the wrong MAF was installed on the vehicle previously. This being an intermittent code the MAF may work without any concerns initially. The retailer may not be aware of 2 different part number MAF's for 2000-05 L series with L81. Compounding this is the reman sticker may fall off and GM does not cross reference the Bosch part number to theirs. Any time these codes are setting have technician verify the correct MAF is installed using the reference below
The part numbers are:
2000-03 90528435 Last 3 of Bosch # 184 (important because the reman sticker may be missing)
2004-05 24437651 Last 3 of Bosch # 087 (important because the reman sticker may be missing)
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
GM bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, NOT a ""do-it-yourselfer"". They are written to inform these technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, DO NOT assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See your GM dealer for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.

Where is the ecm located on 2000 satrun ls1

The PCM is located in the cowl area in front of the passenger side of the windshield. There is no ECM on this car. The PCM controls engine and transmission functions.

2000 saturn SL car was broke into ignition switch

I'm guessing the antitheft worked then? Getting the codes and reprogramming a new switch, because it sounds like your switch is damaged probably beyond repair, is most likely a dealer only job. Be sitting down when they tell you how much!!

How do i reprogram a cherokee ecm

Shouldn't need to flash the ECM for an engine replacement. If you replaced the engine with something other than what it came with you will need to change the wiring harness and the ECM to match the engine you put into the vehicle. Other than that the dealer can flash the ECM and it will cost you a lot because you can't do it. Figure about 150.00 to have that done plus shop materials and environmental disposal. Actually there are no shop materials, but they have a good excuse to charge you for them. Gotta love all those government regulations !!!! A rebuilt ECU for your vehicle is around 232.00.

Steps to replace the ecm. do I need to unhook the battery, or anything. After it is replaced, is there any other steps like resetting anything?

Replacing and ECM is a farily involved job which will require reprogramming the replacement ECM to match the vehicle that it is installed in. Dealerships and a few independent service facilities are set up to do the reprogramming but the unprogrammed ECM may not even be able to start the vehicle until programmed so it's not a DIY kind of project. It's RARE that a vehicle needs the ECM replaced as there are a quite a few problems that can mimic a bad ECM and often an ECM problem can be fixed with a reflash update of the software. Hope this helps and good luck!

2001 saturn sl200, odometer stuck 634,578 miles probably closer to 95,000 miles. any idea how to repair?

i can tell you this was a very common problem on the 91-94 S series instrument cluster, so common that an odometer repair kit was sold on eBay for just a few bucks. so you could go look at eBay and see if there is an odometer repair kit for the 00 & 01 S series as I think they were not made after 01 and the 95-99 clusters were different. A search on www.youtube.com always turns up interesting Saturn repair videos.
